Brother Knights and Families: October and November are the months for all of us to celebrate our namesake, Christopher Columbus.
October is designated as Respect Life Month and many throughout the nation have participated in the chains and many other demonstrations of our stance with our church as solely Pro-Life. We should also prepare ourselves as informed Catholic citizens to cast our vote on November 4th in an election that promises to be very close, indeed. Finally, blitz month goes through November. We all need to stay on track with our goals.
Don’t forget that a church membership drive that is conducted properly is a very effective way to increase your Council roles. Take advantage of your Insurance Agents. They are born recruiters and know how to present our product. Let your parish know we Knights are active and present in our communities! Remember that this year’s First Degree candidates are dedicated to Father Richard Ryan. So please send the names of your candidates to my executive secretary, Harry Nachtigall (719-547-7699; hnachtigal@msn.com). I would like to reach the goal of 1,000 candidates to present to Father Ryan at the Colorado State Convention this year.
