State Deputy Message Bullet Points for the New Fraternal Year
As I write this month's column, we are the start of wheat harvest. It should be a good one for those who escapted the hail storms that were wide-spread throughout the state. The destruction was not only to the crops but also all the homes and buildings that were in the path of destruction.
Getting back to the business of K of C Colorado.
First, we would like to thank the membership for their support in making the last Fraternal Year a successful one. We made all Supreme State goals except the ones for the Supreme Forms. This year, let us get those to 100% of forms and councils. We have a new Forms Chairman, District Deputy #9 - Marc Solome. Please help him to do his new job. Get your forms in and on time. Please!!
Second, we need to fill in those Round Table reports. Also, please do not forget the Round Table report due at the end of last Fraternal Year for all the events done for that Round Table. We have a new Round Table Chairman, Art Samson. Please help him get all the Round Table information he needs.
Third, we want all the Grand Knights to have your calendar ready for the upcoming Fraternal Year. Review all your regular events and try a new one. Try once a month to have a mini-membership drive. Have a table at your monthly breakfasts with information and have members there to ask or answer any questions.
Fourth, have your many committees review your budget and bylaws.
Fith, have your council members check in as they come to your meetings and get a handle on the needs of your membership.
Sixth, Grand Knights, make sure you plan on your agenda for your meetings. Try to keep them under an hour. Short meetings get more bodies to come out.
And LASTLY, let's have fun in all that we are doing. Get the whole family involved. And thank you...for it is "Not I but We" who benefit in teamwork.
